At Mousetests.com, your privacy is fundamentally protected by design. All diagnostic sampling, switch chatter detection, and polling rate telemetry execute 100% locally within your browser.
We do not collect, store, record, transmit, or monetize your mouse inputs, movement vectors, click sequences, or hardware telemetry. Everything is processed temporarily in local browser JavaScript memory and discarded when you leave the page.
01.Zero Remote Input Logging
When you interact with our Mouse Accuracy Benchmark, Double-Click Chatter Test, Polling Rate Analyzer, CPS Speed Test, or Scroll Wheel Inspector, your clicks and mouse coordinates are handled strictly by client-side event listeners (addEventListener('mousedown'), addEventListener('mousemove')).
No input vectors, click frequencies, or timing logs are transmitted over network sockets or sent to remote API servers. Your browser acts as an isolated diagnostic sandbox.
02.Local Storage & Cookies
Mousetests.com uses browser localStorage solely to remember your user interface preferences:
- Theme Selection: Saving your preference for Dark Mode or Light Mode (
localStorage.getItem('theme')). - Local Diagnostic State: Storing recent test scores temporarily on your device for generating cumulative RMA report summaries.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or cross-site persistent tracking identifiers.
03.Exported RMA Diagnostic Reports
When you click the Export Report button, Mousetests.com generates a JSON or text diagnostic file locally using browser Data URLs (URL.createObjectURL). This file is created and saved straight to your computer's download folder. The data remains under your full ownership and is never saved on our servers.
04.Server Logs & Infrastructure Security
Like standard web infrastructure, our hosting provider (e.g. Vercel) automatically logs standard server access headers (such as IP address, User-Agent string, requesting page URI, and HTTP status code) for server operational health, DDoS defense, and infrastructure security. These standard logs contain no mouse diagnostic data or click sequences.
05.Third-Party Links & Services
Our diagnostic guides and articles may contain outbound links to peripheral manufacturer support portals (such as Razer, Logitech, Zowie, or SteelSeries). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external third-party websites.
